I have heard you need to reapply for an F1 visa since your SEVIS will be terminated if you "forfeit" your student status and go to TPS.

What about if you complete your OPT while in F-1 and started TPS? Is it hard to apply for reinstatement?

Went out of status after OPT as I continued working with EAD and never went back to school. Few months down the road filled for reinstatement, received Intent to Deny but sent out brief letter on why I should be re-instated. After 3 months my application was approved and was back on F1

The entire process took about 7 months. Received intent to deny after 2 minths and took about 3.5 minths for them to make decision. Yes I was working with TPS EAD the entire time. Ever since I have been going to school and working with TPS EAD. So far I havent seen any issue with Sevus status.

@Nepal1827 how long did you work after your opt expired. Was it more than 5 month. My opt expired almost a year ago and I am thinking to go back to f1 status. Is it possible?
